It seemed like a good idea at the time. We braved the cold, rain, and snow on our trip to the White Rim Trail. Testing out the Great Basin bags was a lot of fun. We were able to pack our tents, sleeping bags, sleeping pads, food, JetBoils, rain gear, and extra clothing with some room to spare. We were impressed at how securely they attach to the bike, keeping the weight centered, with no jiggling around. These bags come with three dry pods which allow you to compress your gear in a waterproof space with extreme pack-ability. The bags also come with a heat shield that we did not find necessary on our big GSAs. The Giant Loop bags performed great and were just about perfect for a weekend camping trip in the middle of winter.
